| Welcome. Nicola Wiehahn is a Painter, Designer and Illustrator. Having trained at St Martins and Camberwell School of Art, she started her career by painting murals for architects and by doing illustration, backgrounds and models for advertising agencies such as Ford, Halifax and the London Stock Exchange. She then set up her studio in an old water mill in Hertfordshire to paint and make ceramics. She now concentrates mainly on her first love, painting in watercolour. Over the years, her creative work ranged from making and painting ceramics for clients such as the Queen mother and the Sultan of Brunei to painting a series of botanical portraits for a hotel in the South of France and writing and illustrating two childrens books. Inspiration for her work comes from her travels, her appreciation of nature and her love of colour, detail and pattern. |
